    Wareham Town Museum

    Town Hall , Wareham, Dorset BH20 4NS
Wareham Town Museum tells the story of the Wareham area from prehistoric times to the present day. It has a special section on Saxon Wareham and the Saxon sword found here.. Other displays include the potteries of Sandford, World War 1, World War 2, and dinosaurs (Iguanodon and Juratyrant). We are open for school visits all year round. There is no fixed charge for school visits but we would welcome donations of just £2 per pupil. Visits on a Saxon theme can include a walk to the Saxon "walls" (defences) and the Saxon St Martin's Church..
